Hen unable to walk

Hello.
I've a rescue hen (had her 3 months) who seems unable to walk or stand.
She's healthy otherwise. Eating and drinking and pooing and laying okay.
I've had to lift her into the nest box though and when I put her on the ground, she just kinda sinks down and doesn't move.
Anybody got any ideas!
I've taken her away from the rest of flock, who are all fine.

Hi there! :)

Could be almost anything! Without any more symptoms, are you sure she's not just broody?

Check her out for the usual lice & mites, plus any crop problems. Are nose & eyes clear? Breathing OK? Poop normal?

I hope she's a little better today as you posted a few days ago now.

Also, does she have a swollen "tummy" - the bit further back from the bony bit? If so this is probably ascites, an accumulation of fluid which usually indicates problems in the egg laying department. Google it if that's the problem. It's quite common in rescue hens.

She's back with the flock now....
But for the last three nights when I go to close up the coop, she's the only one not inside. I have to lift her in.
She's not lame anymore or lying down all the time. In fact she's quite feisty and telling the others off.

 Glad to hear it. Perhaps it was a leg strain.
