2 hens killed

Post by NannyP » 13 Mar 2013, 21:53

Had to go away at short notice for 2 funerals last week. Left a small run open for the chickens, and 2 were killed a few days before we came home.
It was the same this time last year, not a good time to be leaving them exposed.

Once we have recovered from our rather gruelling trip, going to have to do some defensive work on the small run. Meanwhile, if we have to leave again, the remaining 4 will have to stay inside. It's a garage sized space, so not too bad.
