Has anyone any experience of using autofeeders, the Parkland variety? I've always put corn in pheasant feeders with the spring type appendage and their pellets go in troughs in the shelter pen but lately, the sparrows have been really going to town and eating all the pellets, hence the purchase of the autofeeder.
If you've experience of these, how long did it take your birds to get the hang of pecking the yellow dangly thing to release the food? Mine got the hang of the spring in the pheasant feeders immediately, but they're not getting to grips with the auto feeder yet.
Grateful to hear from anyone with experience on this matter
