Pics of my 8 week olds

Post by drfish » 25 Jun 2013, 11:03

Thought I'd put a pic of the first hatch, now they've calmed down a bit and will stay in camera range.

Cadbury's (Cream Legbar) and Galaxy (Appenzeller Spitzhauben)

Both girls?

I think so, but not 100% on the Appenzeller

From what I can see on pics off the web, the males tend to have sturdy face and head gear, so at 8 weeks I'd be expecting to see more I think. Obviously difficult without a confirmed hen or cockerel as a point of reference. But the feathers all seem fat and rounded around the back, neck and breast. Won't mind too much if it's a cockerel to be honest, as long as it doesn't wake me up at 4am everyday
