I will soon be adding to this thread I expect... a very generous man has hatched five LB eggs for me under his broody hen. They are four weeks old and thriving. I am rather hoping for one cockerel and four hens.......wishful thinking I know.....This is the breed I wanted not the thousands of cockerels I was landed with...re 'magical' dilemma.....

Well don't worry because from what I read in Fancy Fowl mag any decent quality birds are snapped up, there simply isn't enough birds to supply demand. It would be a good idea to join the breed club because that way they can direct people looking for a cockerel or two your direction.

I hope to, too. However I will have to overcome the age old, what to do with the cockerels first. They are extraordinarily good looking chickens.
