hello :P has enyone got a pair or trio if Butch Bearded Bantams which are a gold black colour as seen in (The Complete Encyclopedia of Chickens) ?

in or around the northwest of england?

Hello, Dutch are never bearded I'm afraid. Many of the breed names in the book you mention are not correct in the UK, they are translations of the Dutch name when they should not have been translated!

What page number is the bird on?

The best bree of all breeds brilliant show birds and brilliant pets. Cockerals can get a bit aggresive when hen is broodie (a bit like other breeds) and the hens are wonderful clockers!!!

We have bred a bearded version (only 2 generations) from a Dutch owl beard/dutch bantam. Any one seen one of these before? photos can be posted, handsome little chap!

i have 6 dutch bantams hatching out on sunday night or monday morning i think. cant wait i think they are gold partridge i forget :P but woop cant wait! can enyone help me on temperatures my curamic lamp heater isnt heating the floor up to 35C its just about getting to 30 is that ok for newbie chicks? i put a normal light on the other side that givs off abit of heat is that ok to?

3 survived but everyones going funny with them they are probably my most loved chickens now 4 days old and growing nicly:D
