Hi all, just bought a stunning quartet of lemon millefluer sablepoots, they are about 12 months old. I just fell in love with them as soon as I saw them. Is there anything I should know about caring for this breed to keep them in top condition, any special requirements or just any tips, thanks in advance Craig

I have just got some sablepoots of my own and wanted to show them off :-)

I know I have 2 porcelain but not 100% on the other colour. The lady I bought them from said the other is a Champagne and chocolate but I am unable to find anywhere details of that colour, I think she looks more Lemon millefleur?? can you please confirm whether I am correct or not. Greatly appreciated.

The one on the right is a lemon millefleur sabelpoot. The other 2, well Im not sure but havent seen this colour before, would say it is a non standard or unknown colour. Are you a member of the boot
ed bantam club? they would be able to advise you better.

Edited: I was going to start showing with these birds but ,TBH, now I have thought about it, it would be interesting to see what colours they throw off...never know, may get some nice show birds from them because they do come from show stock! I will keep you posted next year of any hatched from them :-)

I doubt you,ll get any constructive comments on your bird Kelly as its nearly impossible to even see the bird in the picture.....

If you take a better one and post it you might have more luck with advice on whether she might be show quality or not :-k

I'm not so sure that those are porcelain, aka lavender millefleur. I'm more of a mind to think that your three birds are one Lemon Millefleur and two Blue Lemon Millefleur. I think this for two reasons. 1)The blue in the tail is quite dark. 2) Lavender does not allow gold pigment other than as a pale, straw colour.
Compare your birds to bootedbantams true porcelain bird pictured higher up this thread.
