Crocheters

Post by crazypianolady » 04 Jan 2012, 12:39

Can you help me out, please? I'm looking for patterns to crochet for a newborn (we know it's a girl!), in 2/3/4 ply. I've done a search but there are so many sites, I don't know where to start! Can you recommend any good sites/suppliers, please?

:)

For patterns the best place is Ravelry - but you do have to join. It's definitely worth it though as many of the patterns are free (and absolutely gorgeous)

Be careful though, many of the patterns on Ravelry are written in American terms.

UK US
dc sc
htr hdc
tr dc
dtr tr

Good luck choosing a pattern, I love Ravelry!

So now I can let the cat out the bag, so to speak. I'm crocheting for my soon-to-arrive niece!

My sister's sent me a load of pictures she likes (off Ravelry) so I need to decide what to do first!

What do you think?

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... by-sweater
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... nkle-boots

These are just a few - I'll probably start with some little boots and work my way up to the dress, via a cardigan or jacket!

:)

Congratulations on the soon-to-be niece!

3 out of 4 patterns to pay for - your sister needs redirecting to filter by 'free'. Still loads of patterns but you don't have to pay for them! (Having said that, I love the dress!).

A good point, JD ;) :) But this baby has been longed for, for a decade, so I don't mind the cost of a few patterns! ;) :) :bounce:
