Egg Art

Post by smileysal » 28 Dec 2010, 18:30

I know some of you have prob already seen some of our decorated eggs but I though I would start this thread and put all of them on and add to it as we do more!

It all started when I did this for a friends wedding

Then a friend on another forum suggested I enter them in the shows!!!
Which resulted in these being entered in the National!

The success with these led us to enter these in the Fed, two of which we will auction off for charity in February 2011

And the latest is this that we created for our very good friends who chicken sit for us so we can attend shows.
The base is made from a goose egg!!!

They are wonderful! How do you manage to cut them without the shell splintering?

Just the one egg, using a Dremel type crafting drill it does weaken the shell though so it is very fragile afterwards. ;)

they are fantastic ... very well done! Absolutely brilliant¬! But how do you manage to post them if you sell on Ebay, as they're very fragile?
my chooks: Sage&Onion, Roger the randy cockerel, Squawkbox, Bonnie 'N' Clyde, Pancakes, Custard, Omelette & EggNog. Plus four garden cats and another half dozen feral ones that I feed. And a nursery of pipistrelle bats in the verandah roof ..

I have been lucky enough to see Sals eggs in the flesh (so to speak) - although good, the photos don't do them justice - they are absolutely fantastic \:D/ =D> . My favourites from the National are the bugs and the hot air balloon
Chris

love me, love my 4 dogs, 3 cats, over 100 chickens (but don't tell OH) and 7 sheep - oops, almost forgot the 2 tanks of fish!

I live in my own little world but it's ok - they know me here!
