My travel journal -Not certain if I ever posted this

Post by darkbrowneggs » 11 Feb 2014, 20:53

Its all been such a rush since I decided to sell up and travel I am not certain if I posted but this is a link to my travel journal

www.thebusphoebeandme.us

I sold up all the stock and the house and contents and am on the road with Phoebe my Great Dane. I am currently on the borders of the Highlands with the intention of taking the ferry to Orkney and all being well on to Shetland for some of the Up Helly Aa fire festivals.

Take a look if you are interested in what i am up to now I no longer have Marans and Cream Legbars :-)

You did and I'd forgotten that stuff posted in George's Lounge disappears after a while and I suspect that is what has happened.

I am going to make this thread a sticky, so we can carry on enjoying your tales. I am looking forward to seeing what's happened since you posted.

You're very welcome and I wish your blog (I know I said this before) was easier to navigate and that I could subscribe to.
I know you've been busy, so it's not a priority.....but hopefully one day you'll move it.
I hope you'll publish it eventually. I have just published the blog I did of my Dad's letters, it's really quite easy.

Excellent - If you think you may have fertile eggs or stock for sale please send my contact details so I can post them on the darkbrowneggs website. I often had enquiries from your part of the world

Hi All - I am back online, though not sure how long for.

Have been to Yell Unst and Fetlar, and was going to the South Mainland Up Helly Aa, but I think I had some sort of bug and felt rubbish yesterday evening and most of today, But brightened up a bit now and just had some mushrooms on toast and a cup of tea. So I will HAVE to go the one in Brae. Plus I want to go to the fish and chip shop there. If you are around Jaydee perhaps we could meet up.

There are a few more pages up on the journal though with the internet being slow I havent got the photos on the last ones. All being well will do some more tonight

Loving it up here - its absolutely beautiful. I almost hate posting the photos they are such a pale imitation of the reality
