i've jus nicked this from the old english goat news letter
i hoope they don't mind

your grip gets so firm from milking that you have to be carefull who you shake hands with
you you don't spend that 5 pounds on a shirt because you'd rather buy a bale of lucerne
you read obituaries for names for new kids
you worry about the weather anywhere that they grow hay or corn
somebody gets hurt and the only numbers by the phone is for the vets Embarassed
a group is talking about their kids and you relieze the only one talking about goat kids is you
your daughter borrows your jumper and comes home complaining just because 3 used syringes fell out of the pocket at school Shocked
somebody asks you to talk about something other than goats and your mind goes blank
you start to consider disposable syringes and goat wieghing tapes as christmas stocking fillers
your family has upset tummies and the only medicine in the house is goat scour meds ,(come on take it it doesn't hurt the goats )
and you think all cows milk should be labeled cows milk

ps hamish left today so i don't have a billy

well i've had a cr*p day today even concidered giving up poultry Shocked one look at them convised me i couldn't ,that'll teach me to watch the news Rolling Eyes
i set up a small business 2 weeks ago selling eggs from the gate it earns a total of 4 pounds a week and the feed is three times that much ,so expecting trading stadards glasses5 anyday now what with the ai stuff around ,to check paperwork on all the livestock ,plumbing ect ,
they sent a letter a while ago about checking for back flow to animal housing withstupid it'll take the ages to check the watering can Rolling Eyes
well physical work tends to get things out of your system ,with me anyway ,and i've started building the 30 foot by 40 foot goat yard that i've been meaning to make, it means that if it's wet, they don't poach the soil ,and can have their door open to the shed play and do stuff goats like to do ,been moving rocks in there for them to climb on ,the shed next door is for the billy /buck ,so with them playing on the yard he'll never be by himself ,and then he can go out for a little play while they are in ,i'm really pleased with the results of the first bit ,just 1 more duck house to make and the pens to be covered with sterling board tarpoline will never last here
just got seed order to fill in now as raised beds are going in the garden,
and i've got 2 turkeys to pluck and draw ready for the freezer
santa's gone he attacked me a few to many times
