We have recently bought some. I am not a big fish fan, but I am trying so hard to like the stuff as its such a healthy choice.

We had a portion of skate the other day, it wasnt too fishy at all, but we dont really know what to do with it and would like to do a bit more with the next portion.

So far I like:
Tuna Steak
Halibut Steak - Yummy
Salmon- but only if grilled for an age to the point that it looks like leather! (its the squidgy slimy texture that I hate)
& The jury's still out on the Skate!

I just dip in flour and fry in butter. Its a lovely sweet, flavoursome fish and you dont get any small bones, just eat the fish from one side then turn over and eat the other side. Its not a flakey fish so children are more inclined to eat it.

You've got me fancying some now Laughing

Spana has the best idea me thinks. Smile I got a couple of skate wings in the freezer.I think they are one of the very few fish that does well to be frozen before eating.Makes them easier to skin thumbleft
