Very yummy and very light - made them today for the first time.
Cheese and Ham Scone Whirls
8oz SR flour
2oz marg
3ox cheese
2oz ham
1tsp salt
1 egg
Approx 5tblsp milk
1. grate cheese and chop ham
2. mix flour and salt
3. rub in fat, then mix to soft but not sticky dough with egg and milk
4. roll on floured board to an oblong approx 6x8 inches
5. brush with milk then sprinkle with cheese and ham
6. roll like a swiss roll starting from one of the longer sides, then cut into slices (recipe says ½ inch, mine were a bit thicker)
7. put on greased baking sheet and cook (425/450 F or gas 7) for 10-15 mins. |

| I'm sure you could add some if you wanted - may also be good with cauliflower soup! |
