yesterday I found a squirel in my chicken run and now this morning I found the food container empty and scattered all over the floor. Will a squirel harm my chickens or eat the eggs ?

Squirrels are the very devil to keep out once they've found a way in but you should try your hardest as they will pinch the feed and may take your eggs too. They are very partial to wild birds eggs but hen eggs may be too big. I would think they would have a good go at them though!

Not seen any squrrels round the hens for ages, until the other day, and a cheeky one was just climbing up the mesh panels round one of the sheds. Must have jumped from the wall, and gone looking for hen feed. It had no egg with it, but I have seen a squirrel in the past tucking into a hen egg outside the shed. This squirrel is dicing with death ....my cats are always prowling round there. And they are very partial to a grey squirrel now and again!!!
