Pick them when they're ready
Seriously - I think it depends on the variety when they are ready for picking. Some have to be picked and eaten straight away, some you can keep, and then there are even some that don't taste their best until they've been stored for some time.
Do you know what variety you have? |

I don't know what they are. The last few years we've had only a few apples on each tree. We've got 4.
This year it's gone mad, there's hundreds. Some look ready now and some don't. I didn't want to waste too many and wait till they're all dropping. |
