Tree Onions, (Allium cepa var. proliferum) = The tree onion is commonly called the walking onion, top onion or Egyptian onion. The stem produces bulbils instead of flowers and the stems then bend down and grow eventually producing another plant. The bulbils are used for pickling and in salads. Anyone know where I can get any?
