just read on pp that hn51 has been found in africa on poultry farm Sad ...this POSSIBLY may have ramifications for us, as many of our summer migrants travel from there................lets hope not!! Crying or Very sad

luckly most of the migrants who travel the west africian flyway are not vectors for AF its mainly ducks and other waterfowl that are the real problem................mojo

true mojo...i thought same, that most are small warblers etc, but never thought of the waders etc that mix with ducks geese, etc, till was pointed out elsewhere. Confused
ah, well....time will tell if its going to be a big problem for us all. Sad

I just dont know what I could do with my ducks. They all live sort of semi-wild and I wouldn't have a hope in hell of catching them. OH thinks even if we could catch them it would be too cruel to confine them, so I suppose I would have to get someone to shot them. But then with the first shot the rest would fly off.

talk to your vet to get a powder (sleeping thingy) to spread on duck corn then colllect whilst unconcious
