I recently got 6 Lohmanns and right from the start they have been friendly birds but in the past couple of weeks they are getting very bold. If we are working in the paddock all 6 are round us pecking at feet - especially my yellow crocs - and generally trying to trip us up! OH has been out doing some building and if he kneels down they sit on him, try to steal anything small enough or try to get his wedding ring off - I'm sure they were magpies in another life Laughing . Have you ever tried to clean out broody coops/sickbays with 6 feathery helpers intent on making more mess than you started out with - bless them Laughing .

Laughing Ahh bless them. I have an ex batt hen who has become like this. Whenever I go into the run, she nips out the door when I am not looking. She then follows me round the garden and today she nearly tripped me up Confused Laughing She is more like a dog than a hen Rolling Eyes

It's great isn't it Very Happy

My two light sussex LF and modern game (bantam size!!!) are always together and come to the back door for goodies and then follow me around the garden but boy don't they get under feet.

Sunday i'd left the utility door open and as it was pouring with rain I found all three sitting quietly in the utility just watching the rain. Rolling Eyes

I couln't bear to chuck them out Wink

I used to think my Light Sussex were friendly but these are just like pet dogs rather than chooks - i find it amazing that out of all 35 chooks they prefer to be with me, and yes i have been tripped - more than once and have the bruises to show for it! Laughing
