Hi again.

I've just been informed that what we thought were ex-batt hens being slaughtered are in fact free range hens about 18 months old, and we assume they are just being 'renewed'. I'm just a little concerned whether my house and run are big enough for the 6 hens after all - House is 3.5 ft x 4ft and run is 8ft x 6ft. I will be letting them out in the garden when settled when I'm around to watch them, but that won't be all day.

What do you think?

If they're going to be out in the garden for part of the day then the run shouldnt be too small. It's not like you're confining them in it 24/7 is it.
