This is my fourth attempt to hatch these birds i have never had problems hatching anything before until i tried this breed and finally after two failed attempts first lot i paid ridiculous money for the eggs and they were all infertile second time two chicks hatched done nothing but cheap really loudly when they hatched ,then pegged it the following day .so i did not get my hopes up following this ,i hatched one out of 6 eggs i purchased off e-bay last month it is doing ok but would of liked more from the hatch and now this morning i have woken up to find 3 healthy chicks out and another two on their way out out of 6 eggs after being through the post i have a bit of a mixture in there at the moment of various breeds but the main breed i wanted to hatch out of them all was the pheasant fowl which are doing great if anyone else is interested in this breed for hatching i can point you in the direction of a lovley lady who supplied my eggs she deals with rare breeds and i will definatley be buying from her again in the future as the service was excellant and at a fair price too i will take some pictures and pop them under the breed section when i get a chance pretty busy at the moment |
