Hi all

This is an update from my last topic.

Yesterday i had arrived my new Alpacas - mum has already a name and it is Gismo, but i need help to choose a name for her 18 week old baby boy

and here is a picture of his mum Gismo


Any ideas would be most gratefully accepted.

obviously only their coats Smile - I'm knitting one at the moment....... 3rd one down on the list on the right of my blog here I have spun it too! it's divine! Like a cloud.

debcat - he is small aswell

Sandra - but his mum has the nicer name of them (gismo)

My son has said what about magnito (not sure if spelt right)

I have a Black Fleece from my one of my male alpacas and i am trying to find someone to make it into a rug, are you interested???

You'd be better with someone who could weave it rather than knit it. It will be wonderful, but the care of it will be a bit of a problem cos it'll felt with much hoovering or washing.

I went to Frome show today and spoke to some spinners and they said i need to look on the internet to find someone to try and do it as they only do it as a hobbie.

Thanks spana, he is actually quite small, especially compared to my other baby who is half his age.

yeah they're probably right. I don't know anyone that does it as a "business" it will take a long time too so might be expensive. And it'd need to be thick rather than knitting weight which would be far too thin. if I think of anyone I'll let you know! Wink
