right sweetums is big ,and as niether of the boys went to town this year he's going to need clipping this year ,
now as i don't want to be in hospital this year with back problems ,i thought about a sheep hammock ,seems expensive for 1 sheep ,and my fencing is wire ,no metal gate
so i've come up with an answer ,a deckchair ,wonder if it would work ,at work they want to know if he will be waering a knotted hankercheif ,can you imagine the look on the faces of the local crofters as they drive passed a sheep sitting in a deckchair in the middle of the croft |

| putting a sheep in a wheelbarrow to shear helps if you have a bad back.you can even put blocks under handle end to raise further..two man?lady job as one must hold head /cover eyes(of sheep silly) whilst other clips |

i'm wondering wether we should just go the whole hog and borrow the cattle crush ,are you still laughing at the tagging today they all looked very smart tried to the fence in their collars and leads
tell him only if he does the clipping ,and i can come and watch when you take the goats to be scanned |

Sadly, I think the deckchair wouldn't take the strain !
But let us know when you're going to do it as I could do with a good laugh, |

I'd be happy to help when I get up there, I have sheared sheep in the past, when I was a volunteer warden with english nature several years ago. but I must stress that really was several years ago.
Not saying I'm rusty, but you could have a sheared sheep and chops all in one swoop , if you let me loose with the clippers.
But, if there's anyway I can help out, I'd be happy to help.
PS, I've still got man flu.... |
