I've heard about them, and wondered what they are? And where could I get some?

Shetlands are a blue egg laying bantam.

And the history is 'supposedly'...
A shipwreck carrying araucanas led to the breed being created in the shetlands.


These are my girls (the ones on the wheelbarrow)




And here is my boy




I don't have any livestock for sale - but should have hatching eggs in about three weeks. (In the process of getting them penned up for the breeding season)

there used to be a western isles chicken ,same sort of story there are none left mink ate all the chickens on the western isles Rolling Eyes ,they where always allowed to freerange
