Hi All

Sort of a follow up to my other post about thin egg shells, everything went alright for a couple of days, but now all 3 of the ladies have stopped laying this has been going on for about 3 - 4 days now.

They seem to be ok, eating well and the like none of them are moulting and all 3 are only about 7 - 8 months old.

Is this a normal sort of thing?,all advice most welcome.

Cheers.

It's normal, don't worry. I gave a friend some as a house warming present a few weeks ago - they laid the first day they were there, now they've stopped and one has gone broody!

I've got six chickens, I've been getting on average two eggs a week, For several weeks I wasn't getting any eggs.

Apparently, You can sling a lamp in the hen house, I'm sure that somebody else will be able to explain more about this as my knowledge is very limited, but it keeps the hens in lay.

Nothing to worry about, just annoying when you've got six hens but you STILL end up going down the shop to buy six eggs......

Hi Polarchick

Sounds like you got some fussy birds there!

Think if I was in that situation I'd be wanting to get the sex of them confirmed!
Only kidding!...
