now things are starting to advance with our ground i am now starting to gear myself up with knowledge about the livestock i intend to keep i intend in the long run to get goats but this is a bit impractical with the amount of bracken so i am going to use pigs to control it by uprooting it and eventually killing it off .
what i need to know is how do i start with pigs i know i have to notify the animal health officer etc but what i want to know is about breeding them if i was to sell them where could i sell them is there any special rules around selling pigs for meat or pets who do i contact ?can a living be made of keeping pigs is it cost efficient?any advise is welcome i am also going to look on defras website to see what information they have it has been a few months since i have thought about any of this due to having my second child but now i can start to plan things out properly and get the ball rolling |
