My 3 buff orp X lt sussex bantam pullets have obviously been doing a bit of growing up over the past couple of months since I bought them - last weekend (well, the one before last so to speak) there was 1 egg in their house & 1 in the end of their run.

This weekend just gone my daughter checked their house again as I hadn't all week (I'm just not used to checking them yet) and there were 14 - 14!!! - eggs in there!!! Not in the nestboxes, just on the floor of the house, but at least indoors. Razz Great!!! So that's 2 - 4 I get daily from the 9 others and now these 3 laying aswell, I'll be putting an eggs for sale sign up soon Laughing Laughing

I've discovered a hoard load of eggs today... somewhere where they shouldn't be (ie not in the henhouse)! At least 15-20 and a wee silky going broody on them. Silly thing, she maybe covered about 5-6 of them as they were of various sizes. So here was me thinking we had no eggs all this time! harumpf!
