I'm drowning in apples at the mo! if anyone wants to come and help themselves before they all rot, I can provide a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake, actually make that apple crumble or apple pie!

We solved the problems of "tree full" - the high winds last week brought them all down so we've now got a carpet of them instead.

Keep chicken and geese in the orchard. We have (well, OH has) made gallons of apple juice, there's a 5 gallon container of wine bubbling to itself, there are several pounds of stewed apple in the freezer, and I've even contemplated bottling or drying some. I've also got 3 crates of pears to deal with, though I suspect that bottling is the only option with them. The only apples that nothing will eat are the cider apples - they are unspeakably nasty. The chicken are even eating the quince!

You mean you're not making cider Henwife? Confused

I have 1 measly cox's apple tree on a dwarf rootstock & didn't even have 1 apple this year! Shocked
I'd love to have more, but sadly haven't got room. Sad

OH doesn't drink it, & I don't drink, so an exercise in futility really.

I see, but you could give it away as presents - or even bring it to next year's PK meet! Wink Very Happy
