Horns..........does anyone know how they are straightened /shaped etc for makeing shepards crooks,...........fell walkers pole handles and walking stick handles...............only saw several goats horns and bovine horns laying in a friends barn

I have a book and some rams horn in the garage had them for about 15 years not got around to it yet!!!!!!! firstly they have to be rams horn as they have to be solid all the way through you use heat to bend them to shape and then carve them into trout etc. use antlers to make thumbsticks ! I could photocopy some of the instructions and post but think I may have lost your address ! pm me G x

They have to be boiled - in water. Very Happy And shaped whilst they are hot.
