Well, when I got home to inspect, she looks like a buckskin/appaloosa cross. She is EXTREMELY gentle and stands still for grooming. Hugs are not out of the option either.  Daddy is a Thorougbred, dark bay. Should make a beautiful baby! 
It seems that she did not have a lot of work done with her in the recent past. Spent about one and a half hours working on the dreadlocks in her mane tonight. She just stood out in the middle of the pasture and let me have at it. Got about 3/4 of her mane detangled. She just stood there soaking up the attention...giving little hugs here and there as I progressed.
Her and Flo (my horse) get along wonderfully! There is now fighting for head mare position.
I do not believe that tonight is the night...so will have to wait for baby pics.

| That's lovely Deb, I believe all animals know when they are cared for and respond accordingly, I'm sure you'll do really well with them both and enjoy playing as a bonus. Can't wait to see piccies of her ~ we should have had a before and after you know, don't make her too spick and spanish before we see her. |

| Appaloosa are beautiful creatures Deb, you're very lucky. Every oneI've ever known has been solid and easy going. A friend of mine had one which she used for dressage work, she used to win everything. |

Nope...all animals, fowl and humans on this farm need to be in tip top shape at all times. This place gets viewed by the public on a daily basis, when egg customers come calling. Then they like to go around and pet, cuddle and oooo and ahhhh over every thing here.
Trust me...she is 10 days over due....she will look beraggled no matter how pretty I have her looking.

Common....yes and no, but not really this long though. We are all keeping an eye on her. Vet may have to be called soon as the foal will be getting to big for mum to safely have it. Then inducing labour or taking it by C-Section are our only options.
It is really up to the owner of the horse which way to proceed.

Horses give birth in the cloak of night. So, will have to wait till my night time to let you know her progress.

Well, Tippy (the mare) has become restless. Flo is staying by her side and will not leave her, even to come to me. That is very telling, as Flo and I are connected and she comes just by me looking over at her.
Tonight just maybe be the night. Will keep you all posted.
