As you know I have had my two pullets for a week. Every night they sleep in the darkest corner on the shaving. I have a perch in there but they never go in. I am also hoping this is where they will lay the eggs. If they continue to sleep on the floor will the eggs get broken? Should I be putting them on the perch at night? I could put a nest box in the other dark corner if that would help? I don't think they will lay for two more months so I have time for training!
Hope you can help. |

| I would put a nest box in that dark corner during the day. I think if you leave it in at night at present they may sleep in it so you have a pooey nest box. If you can persuade them to perch then you could leave the nest box in, but it needs to be lower than the perches |
