Well apart from the fact that you shouldn't use it as it's not licensed for poultry, you need to be aware that the strength of the spot on treatment is far, far higher than the spray treatment, but I can't remember precisely by how much Rolling Eyes . Egg withdrawal is another issue but once again my memory lets me down. Pretty useless really - sorry!!! Someone with less addled brain cells will be along soon Very Happy !

Found it (I think).

The spray contains 0.25% of the active ingredient whereas the spot on treatment is 10%. So 40 timess less spot on than spray is a sort of answer for your question, but as I don't use it for my bantams I couldn't tell you how much spray to use either - sorry Rolling Eyes !

I recently asked for & got the spray version from my vet. He said it wasn't licenced for poultry but it is a very effective & safe chemical to use on them. He didn't recommend the spot-on. Wink

I believe it's also effective against scaley leg mite. Wink

my vet gave me the spot on when all failed to work on the birds - can't remember the dosage though as it was a couple of years ago - just a drop or 2 under each wing. I would check with them.

One of the Ivermectin pour on for cattle is what I first had prescribed for mine - this was a silkie with scaley leg mite - and this is what Victoria Roberts recommended in the first edition of her book. Now I think she recommends Eprimex (or something), neither of which are licenced for poultry, but which a vet can prescribe.
