|
|
It's that time of year again... From The BBC.
| Quote: | New tactics are being adopted in an attempt to prevent an outbreak of bird flu in Britain.
A surveillance operation to check for infected wild birds will concentrate on areas favoured by migrating water fowl.
The zones include the northern and West Midlands, the south coast, parts of the West Country, Anglesey, eastern Scotland and much of East Anglia.
The operation will also focus on poultry farms which could be at risk from the H5N1 bird flu virus. |

| When you've added up all those areas, is there any part of the country not covered? |

| South East, North West and North East England seem to be safe, as does Western Scotland & Northern Ireland. |

I'm on the poultry register,
there's about 60 hens plus ducks, turkeys and geese
the last thing they said was that if they start 'keeling over one after the other' I have to phone the vet straight away as if I wouldn't |
