What d'you think of OH's Fordson. Dont you think she's a lovely old girl, even in her working clothes. She was 50 this year, and I dont know what we would do without her. Very Happy

Great to see her. Recently had to sell off the old Fergie, only ever used for logging, but would have loved to get her used on some open land. Maybe one day... Pray

We went to the house for a look around the enormous garden today. Next door neighbour wasn't in, and Mark pointed out a tractor looking thing in his drive. I think he saod it was a Fordson?

She's really smart Rich, what year is she. Oh thinks a bit younger than his and that that model was made up to about 1964.

OH bought his on 10th April 1966 for £170. She had been bought new in 1956 by Unwins the seed people in Cambridge.

Sorry you had to part with your old lady Rich Sad

A friend of mine has spent the last year (and god knows how much money) locked in his garage every spare moment restoring his 1963 Fordson Super Dexta. It's still in pieces but starting to look good again

I saw this
and was very tempted, just the right size for me

Awww cute! A baby tractor! Laughing Laughing

There's a guy up the road from us who restores old tractors & he's had some beauties in the past. Very Happy

Even our postman is into old tractors - he has a Fordson (not sure of the age though. Confused )

The power major of mine was 1960 and they were made for 2 years only superseded by the Super Major before becoming Ford tractors.I have all the serial number info somewhere to determine the year and specification, etc.I think they are te best as old tractors go.International are a good second.I will be getting another Fordson eventually. Laughing
That Volvo is worth buying Nigel they go for ever and a decent 'mini' is worth its weight on a smallholding.
