Hi mojo, and how are you? Well I hope!
As you know from that other place genetics books tend to be full of techno-babble but a book has recently been published (Leghorn told me about it) which is thorough and intelligible. Details are:-

The Mating and Breeding of Poultry
by Harry M Lamon and Rob R Slocum
publ The Lyons Press
ISBN 1-58574-814-5

Getting mine from http://www.Back40Books.com/ if you didn't find it anywhere else.
here's a website on genetics that's not too complicated and lots of pics, some genetic calculators too http://home.ezweb.com.au/~kazballea/genetics/index.htm

and a list of books from the same place

Did your book arrive in the end, Mojo?

I've been looking at it on Amazon - is it worth getting? I need something that explains the basics in simple enough language for someone who's just going to breed two or three clutches a year (and doesn't know what they're doing Embarassed )

Lol! My motive for getting a book was actually so I didn't have to pester poor Henny every time I got confused (ie quite often Embarassed ) Laughing

I might treat myself anyway Very Happy
