This was recommended to me by Henwife recently, for a hen with a cut foot.

It's marvellous Very Happy It creates a flexible seal over cuts and grazes and although it's meant for humans it's also ideal for animals, as there's no dressing for them to fiddle with Very Happy

I've got it on myself at the moment - a nasty paper cut It stings a bit when you put it on, but quickly dries and you can just forget about it.

For a couple of quid a bottle, it's well-worth having in the cupboard Very Happy

Make sure the wound is clean or you will seal in the dirt! Shocked
Sounds like a good idea though - no dressing for the chicken to remove. Wink

Yes, you do have to make sure wounds are absolutely clean, as it's an airtight seal.

The instructions are to add a new layer of of the liquid which dissolves the original, allowing you to wipe it all off. In my experience it starts peeling off after a while anyway.
It's quite entertaining - like when you were at school and painted glue on your hands just so's you could pick it off afterwards.
Or was that just me? Shocked
