Now, what do I do? i cant leave the chick on her own, do i put her in with some 6-7 week olds (both girls) she is only 4 weeks old, or keep the broody in with her for longer, even though she wants to get out. I would try with the slightly older chicks, but youd have to keep an eye on them very close ! If she still keeps the chick close & calls when a tasty morsel of food is about, then that's probably all she wants. You could try letting her out when you are around to supervises in case there is a problem. The chick has been cheeping all afternoon, tried putting in pekin chick (6 wks) but it started pecking the chick, so seperated them again.
