looks a bit like big bird off sesame street, maybe you can get eggs for them on ebay, or by crossing an emu with a yellow canary

It's a smiley bird that kept number one company overnight while it was waiting for its friends to hatch.

Another 2 have hatched - including Craig's chick - he hatched the parents last year. This is our first home bred baby. Another maran has pipped. We are now on day 23.

There was another egg pipped last night when we went to bed, this morning 2 chicks had hatched. Now totals are 7/16 marans and 1/1 Shetland! Now on day 24.
