Ive done 2 lots of the vodka, sugar, strawberry mix. It looks soooooooo lovely
Rasps are coming in now. Can you do the same with them or are they better with a different spirit |

I've been given carte blanche to pick as much rhubarb as I want from one of the neighboours gardens
just got to empty the coffee jar now so I can make the rhubarb version
Jan I don't see why raspberries wouldn't work |

| raspberries work super but use a wider neck container so not crush or cut when you put them in........also i try to leave rasps 6 weeks and only shake GENTLY..................rhubarb will also work if you cook gently in sugar syup(minimum quantityof water) let the mix cool completely before starting..........if you have other fruits nealy everything works.....apples/pears/apricots/peaches(peeled)/figs etc...........p.s.figs never clear but taste nice top up with sherry instead of white wine.............PM me if you want more advice |

I don't think mine will last until Christmas either, can it be used fresh or does it improve with keeping.
I only had about an inch of vodka left in the bottle so have done some rasps in a small jar. Got a really big crop of rasps about to bury us, so I'll have to buy another bottle.
What about blackcurrants and blackberries, is the spirit still vodka. |
