I thought it was a joke at first. Think I recorded Country File a week ago last Sunday, will go and have a look. Never seen them before, aren't they strange! Confused

They are strange, but I think in a really cute kinda way Razz

Pigs are the animal I'm struggling most over eating... ever since I saw one of the animal rescue / zoo type programs where the keeper had trained a pig to walk to heel, sit on command etc - lots of stuff just like a dog <gulp> Just hits home how its still an animal, just like my dog Shocked

But pigs make tasty such tasty bacon... Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil

I watched the "its not easy being green" program the other night where they killed their pigs. Think I could do that (and want to be able to do it one day as long as I carry on eating meat). At least the raising bit, if not the actual killing...

Oh dear - have I hijacked my own post? Laughing

Pigs are difficult. I can eat my own ducks and cockerels and I have a little Highland x South Devon calf Hamish who is going in the freezer, but i dont think I could do a pig of my own. They are very clever and affectionate, bit like a dog and I know I wouldn't be able to do it when the time came.
I can eat pork and adore smoked bacon but It must be a pig I haven't known. Confused
Silly really
