Good morning everyone...can someone tell me what thickness of wood i need to make the frame for a run 12ft x 6 ft. Rolling Eyes

Also would i be able to fasten the 3ft x 4ft panels together with hooks and eyes rather than hinges or are hinges best...
I want to be able to dismantle it when not in use or use it sometimes for my puppies when they are on the lawn... Confused

I usually use 2 x 2
hooks and eyes should work as well

Hooks and eyes sound like they might come apart a bit easily - especially with puppies maybe bounding against them.

Did you see the link I posted about the run made up of panels? They don't have hooks at the edge - just the eyes. ie there are large-ish round metal rings at both ends of each panel - one near the top and one near the bottom (about 3 or 4 inches down, if i remember right). Then you have a metal stake that threads through all the rings thus joining the panels together. The stake then gets pushed firmly in the ground and gives stability to the run.
