| Has anyone else found that agression by their more dominant chickens seems more noticeable in the aftrenoon. Being outside more this weekend that usual as we make the permanent house/run I've been rather disappointed to see much more agression toward my 2 blackrocks by the others (mainly 2 cuplrits) - especially disappointing as they've been together a month now and I had thought they'd settled down. I'm not sure why this is happening - except maybe they're not as hungry as in the morning and are just up for a fight. Any ideas? |

I noticed this too, when I put a maran in with 6 of my hybrids. They've been together for 3 months now and there’s always two in particular that chase and peck her. My guess is there too busy filling up on corn and worms in the morning to be mean, but once there full, they start showing who’s at the top of the pecking order! |

| talking of worms - my youngest and I have been quite revolting this afternoon - as I've been digging out post holes and doing a bit of weeding we've been party to murder by feeding the worms into the chickens arc!! |

| Just a thought RobMad, you shouldn't be feeding your girls corn in the morning. They will fill up on that and not eat the layers which has everything that they need in order to be healthy and lay eggs. Corn should only be as a treat in the late afternoon and then only a limited amount |
