i've just culled some cockerals ,for the pot i'm now under the 50 bird mark (46),told people that they can no longer have eggs ,so i'm no longer classed as commercial(not that i ever was) ,so phone the help line to ask them if i could transfer to the voluntary register ,for hobbists ,i was told there was no such thing ,everyone who has now reg will be treated the same ,it's going to be the same for everyone wether you have 5 or 200 or 20.000 Evil or Very Mad ,ok can i take my name off ,the answer is no not unless you have none ,thought you'd like to know and sorry to bring it up Sad ,

if everyone is classed as commercial, even if they one have 2 or 3 then DEFRA's policy of culling out the commercial poultry keepers first covers everyone Evil or Very Mad

Isn't this more or less how we expected DEFRA to be with this avian flu?
It doesn't make it easier to accept, but I'm sorry to say I'm not surprised.
