About a month and a bit ago i got rid of my 6 hens, (rosie, doris, olive, gertie, hetty, and stella) they were the nicest chickens, but were i keep them.
i am frineds with the farmer who owns the farm and we got talking and he had let me have the old kitchen garden of the farm which is about 1/2 an acre. it was an agreement between me and the farmer, i put put my polytunnel up, dug my beds and grew stuff for the first year whcih was a real success.
The farmers sister live just behind the old kitchen garden, she has goats, and i said that i thought about gettting some chcikens so she said that will be ok, and so did the farmer, when i got them, she said that she would let them out for me in the morning, and i would go up in the afternoon at check them feed and water. the day i got them she collected the eggs which realky annoyed me.
A couple of wks later they ran out of water in the morning and shouted at me,, saying that i was neglected them, which wasnt true, every one i know , knows i would never neglect an animal, so i appologised and carried onlooking after them, then about a month and a bit ago she shouted at me from not feeding them and threatend 2 call the rspca, this was realy annoying so i said to her i will get rid of them and she said ok.
i told the farmer and he said thats stupid, and said shes getting old and laughed, so did i.
i was thinking a couple of days ago that it was an arrangment between me and the farmer, and wanted to get more, i go up there every day to look after 3 horses so thought why shouldnt i get some more.
has anyone got some fertile eggs i could purchase of you?
regards
