they are heavy aren't they ? and ungrateful !
they are particularly heavy when the fleece is full of canal water we had to rescue one once and it took 3 strong men and me ! |

paula the saying goes here if you want to make somebodies life a misery than give them one pet lamb  ,auntie pauline had 1 sounds like yours ,a friend at work had 1 ,it head butted one and had to go and live with her nan and it ran off a cliff ,didn't want to live with other sheep 
we could arrange for 2 to be sent to you cp  |

that is a great description of trudiewoo, tried putting her on the common grazing last year, 2 days later she'd got back home 
trouble is she doesn't think she should be feeding lambs - they should all have bottles.
She's 3 now and still a pain, I kept one of her lambs from last year and he's just the same
It's much easier to have more than one, they don't get so dependent on you
thats my excuse anyway |

| We did have 2 but one sadly died at a few months old, i did ponder with the thought of getting another but the idea of being stalked by 2 doesn't appeal to me. the other idea was to let her have her own lamb, but instead i have decided to have my own baby and maybe next year have a lamb from her, although i am not sure if you are supposed to bred them in there first year or not.she is just about a year old now, can anyone put me right on this.trouble is with her she is such a spoiled brat she would probably dump the lamb on me.i think she could be a bit backward as she is a very large girl but still comes up the Field bouncing like a small lamb, the ground shakes under her i don't think this is normal behavior for an adult sheep or is it? |

Can't help with lamb/sheep behaviour, I'm afraid.
Just thought I'd mention something you probably know already, but you have to be really careful around pregnant/birthing sheep if you are pregnant yourself. |

if they are big then theres no reason they can't go to the ram in the first year, most people do wait for the 2nd year though
trudiewoo had triplets last year, hated them all at first. She eventually decided to feed 2, but as never very maternal with them.
the 3rd one was bottlefed, but, she loves him, they have never been seperated and she still mothers him
I'm still waiting for her to pop this year to see how she will behave, I dread to think
bouncing down the field is totally normal for a pet sheep |
