Came home today to a small amount of feathers on the top lawn. Gizzy my gander has been taken by a fox, leaving Cleo very forlorn. Finally found him well hidden in the bushes by the pond, his neck broken and bloody but not eaten. I suppose he was to big to get over any fence's in daylight. Despite being an evil bad tempered gander I will really miss him. Now I will have to see if it tries the 8' fence to get at the chickens. Life sucks some times. Crying or Very sad

Thanks everyone. Cleo his mate ( and I still don't know if I should call him?her Claude) is grieving, she just walks around calling. At the moment she is still with the chickens, where they always lived, but I wonder if I should eventually introduce her to the ducks?

I think I would try to get her with other ducks ~ maybe bring some in for her.
