Wasn't a bad programme, but it could've been better.

The facts on their own would make a very good half hour prog. They fleshed it out to an hour with lots of speculation, repeating bits after each ad break & dramatising the terrible affects of the 1918 Spanish flu outbreak.

They kept showing the same clips too - markets in Asia, the scientists putting on their protective clothing etc.

But having said that, the actual science bit was very interesting, showing how the virus lives & mutates, & why it's so difficult to cure it.

Some of the pictures were a bit graphic. My youngest got a little upset at one point, when they were saying what the symptoms were in humans & how it killed them. Also the removing of live chickens & putting them in plastic bags for burial was nasty, but we've seen that on the news before. Crying or Very sad

Worth watching though. Wink
