Was browsing in WHSmiths today and looked in a copy of Farmers Weekly, as on the cover it said there was an article about free range poultry as a business. So I had to have a look, as you would....
Never looked in the mag before. Obviously it is aimed at farmers, not pet chicken keepers like me. The article had a breakdown of the expected costs and revenues. One source of income it listed was the sale of the chickens after they finished laying at....... 10p per chicken
What price a life.... |

I always buy FW so seen the article ....its sad about the chooks,most havnt finished laying and its off to the canned soup factory so think on that next time you enjoy a nice tin of chicken soup  |
