There was a post on another forum, by someone who had over 50 chickens. He contacted Defra to get one of their forms to fill in and be registered as required. He was told that he didn't have to register.....why?...........because he kept his chickens in 2 different locations. I believe he has some in his back garden and others on an allotment.
I just thought was interesting

"....i just like the breeds forgot about the eggs"

we have 60+ hens plus ducks and geese and a turkey
If I was just counting mine I could get it under 50
The girls all have their own birds
in DEFRA terms they are all lumped together under my name

I did my registration form on line, got an email confirming they had recieved it but had nothing since
