Thats what I was thinking. If the broody hadn't been on anything special I'd have put them under her.
At least they didn't cost a fortune,

we were ok here today the power didn't go down ,the eggs we set under the broodie are all good another couple of days left ,but 2 hens share a coop and the other hen will not stop going back to the coop the broodie is in kept her out overnight ,she's back screaming to be let in ,put her in a coop by herself ,she escaped ,if she stays in there with the broodie will she kill the chicks ,or shall i move the broodie with her eggs or wait till they are piping and then move them last time i moved her she escapedand left the eggs ,sorry debcat wondered if you or anyone else would know

I tried moving one last year with eggs and she gave up. this year I waited till they'd hatched and then moved her. Much easier.
I always try and box mine in just before they are due though. they are in the barn and the cats go in there as well. One is in a corner with two bits of wood for the other two sides and fruit netting on the top. It stops the others getting in as well as the cats

She should be on her own, and lock her in for a day with food and water. I wouldn't wait until the last minute, move her soon and somewhere where she won't be bothered by other hens (hen).
