You need,
1, 4pt milk carton and 1 plastic pot, mine had glace cherries in.

Mark milk carton round the bottom of the pot. These pots are usually wider at the rim than at the bottom so cut out first on the line and try the pot in the hole. Just keep cutting round in tiny bits untill the pot fits. Then cut the pot as shown and push back into the hole. I find two or three strips of sticky tape stuck inside the pot and brought out over the rim and onto the the carton hold it as good as anything. Fill with grit useing another milk carton cut into a scoop as shown. These scoops are good for filling feeders as well. Tie the hopper to the leg of the hen house or wire run.

I use these hoppers for my banties pellets as they tend to kick their food about. The ones in use at the moment are still in good nick after five weeks
If you add a perch and tie to a fence post this design also makes a good feeder for Robins. Robins have a bigger head and are wary of useing the ordinary type of feeder, liking these better because of the bigger opening
